
Steven Schumacher, DDS
As a Colorado native, Dr. Schumacher received his bachelor’s degree in integrative physiology at University of Colorado, Boulder, then furthered his education at Regis University in Denver where he obtained his master’s degree in biomedical sciences.
He traveled to Utah to attend dental school at Roseman University and graduated with his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. During graduation, Dr. Schumacher received a Merit Award from the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry and The Quintessence Award for Achievement in Restorative Dentistry.
While in dental school, Dr. Schumacher received a National Health Service Corps scholarship, given to individuals committed to helping underserved communities. He moved to Iowa to work in rural communities where he gained an appreciation for empathetic dental care and quality patient education. He worked multiple years helping individuals learn the importance of oral hygiene and its impact on overall health. As Dr. Schumacher continues his dental career at Franklin Family Dentistry, he plans on continuing to practice both restorative and surgical dentistry.
Dr. Schumacher recently married his beautiful wife, Jill. They moved to Indianapolis together to start Jill’s journey as an emergency medicine resident at Indiana University. They live with their two adopted beagles, Daisy and Jack. Besides spending almost all their free time with their dogs, Dr. Schumacher and his wife love traveling, spending time outdoors, cooking, and exploring new restaurants.
